I've always had a thing for bad boys and Ethan Asher is about the baddest boy I have ever had a thing for. A totally gorgeous 26 year old Assistant District Attorney, Ethan is 6 feet of blonde hair and brown eyed hotness. He's enough to turn the stunningly beautiful Dylan Summers' head and nobody turns her head. Sarah her roommate and best friend has tried to set her up on blind date after blind date. Nobody has ever done it for her the way Ethan Asher does.

Dylan Summers has suffered a horribly painful life. She lost her father at the age of five and her mother completely fell apart. Not only turning to drugs and alcohol, but turning on her daughter. Blaming Dylan time and again for the loss of her father. Young Dylan's life is tragic and just when you thought it couldn't get worse she suffers a horrific life changing incident when she's 16 years old. Something so traumatizing she never talks about it. Something so horrendous it's given her a strong dislike for lawyers. Until she meets Ethan Asher.

They run into each other at a restaurant. Ethan can't take his eyes off Dylan and Dylan is mesmerized by Ethan. They embark on an all consuming love affair, that is based on lies and deceit. You can actually feel the pull of attraction that Ethan and Dylan have for one another. Dylan has dated, but honestly has never felt anything but numb with other boys. Ethan is instantly in love with Dylan. Strangely even though I had suspicions about Ethan I fell instantly in love with him as well. So imagine my surprise when Ethan left town after their second date.

Thankfully, Ethan comes back into town. You can't be surprised because he honestly lives for Dylan.Their journey is dark and complicated. They both keep secrets from each other. Secrets that can ruin what they have. Ethan wants Dylan so badly, but feels he can't ever be enough for her. And Dylan feels like no one will ever love her because of the horrors she has suffered.

Dylan isn't the only one in Innocent Lies that battles demons. Ethan has a very dark side and it's scary dark. You get a sense that Dylan is sort of a savior to Ethan. She takes away some of his darkness. But the very person who can save Ethan is the one that he can destroy forever.

I really liked the characters of Ethan and Dylan. He is just hotness exemplified and her innocence and love for Ethan are incredibly sweet. They are completely passionate about each other. I can't lie I had my doubts about Ethan and his intentions toward Dylan, but even at his sketchiest there is something undeniably sexy about him.

Innocent Lies is gritty and edgy and my ADD self had to finish it in one sitting because I needed to know what happened in the story. There's a plot twist in the end that will shock you and make you realize that even "innocent lies" can cause tremendous damage.

I can't wait for Pretty Little Lies because I need to know how Dylan and Ethan's story plays out. J.W. help a girl out....don't leave me hanging!!
