Before I say anything else about the book Incandescent by River Savage, let me just say, Phoenix "Nix" Knight is just about the hottest thing ever known to mankind. Physically, he sounds like perfection. I love his dirty mouth and all the places he puts it. Believe me, I found myself wishing I was Kadence Turner more than one time while reading. Sweet Jesus, Nix had me squirming in my chair more than a few times during Incandescent.
Of course there's a story, I just had to get my feelings about Nix out there, because he is just that damn fine. Nix is the boss of the Knights Rebels, a motorcycle club his father used to run. Back in the day, they were in to all sorts of illegal nonsense. Now Nix is trying to run things like a business. Unfortunately, there are two other motorcycle clubs that don't see things the same as Knights Rebels. Nix has an ex wife, Addison (crazy bitch), and a son Z (he's got a real name, Zayden, but they call him Z).
Z is the reason Kadence and Nix meet each other. He's a student in her class, and he's gotten into some trouble. Nix shows up for the after school meeting and you guessed it, instant attraction. Only Kadence is not really willing to own up to the attraction she feels for Nix. The whole I can't date the parent of a student idea pops into her brain and she decides to go with that.
Kadence, who is a fantastic character, was engaged to Zane (douche). One night after a fight, he left their bed and what happened after that almost cost Kadence her life. Together with her very best friend Holly, Kadence rebuilt her life. She hasn't given any thought to having a relationship until the blisteringly hot Nix Knight walks into her life.
Kadence doesn't make it easy for Nix. She's hard headed and doesn't like to be bossed around. Guess what? Nix is very bossy. He's seen what he want's and it's Kadence. Kadence shoots down his attempts more than one time (bathroom scene is literally lol comical). Nix is incredibly persistent and the sassy Kadence finally gives in and goes out with him. Once Nix gets the green light, he goes all in. Nix is passionate and naughty and beyond sexy. When he takes Kadence to his bed, their hotness factor is off the charts. I'm telling you, you'll be wishing you were Kadence just like I did.
While Nix and Kadence are getting together, Nix of course is still taking care of business for the Knights Rebels. It's seems the two other MCs are not living up to their end of the bargain and are trying to bring illegal activity into Nix's territory. Then Kadence's ex fiancé comes back to town and everything just blows up.
There isn't one single thing about this story that I would change. I love the rest of the Knights Rebels and I hope they each get their own book. Right now, my heart belongs to Nix. Damn what that man does to me. He is just that dirty hot guy that every girl needs at least once in her life.
You're going to love the story, you're going to love Kadence and Nix. There's definitely enough conflict to balance out all the sexiness in the book. I'm giving Incandescent a five lip smack review. I loved this book from the beginning to end. I couldn't wait to read it from the second it popped up on my iPad.

Resting the cold beer between my legs to
soothe the ache, the boys give me shit for striking out. I feel the same way:
the woman is a tough nut to crack.
“You ready for round two, Prez?” Beau
smirks behind his beer. Turning my head, I watch as Kadence storms over. I
groan as my broken dick comes to life, apparently not caught up with the news
that she doesn’t like him. She stands at the end of the table, arms crossed
over her chest, unaware that her position puts her sexy tits up on display.
Fuck, this woman is a tease.
“Hey, sweetheart,” I say before taking a
sip of my beer.
“Don’t sweetheart me. What did you say to
my date?” she snaps, anger clear on her face, and I’ve never seen a more
beautiful look on her. Her eyes blaze with fire and the need to push her more
fills me. I can’t wait to have her under me.
“Oh, the stiff?” I ask nonchalantly. “Just
told him to run along; he didn't have what it takes to play with the big boys,”
I say as some of the brothers laugh into their drinks.
I’ve never pushed a woman this far before;
chasing her and teasing her feels so damn good. Something about her pushes my
buttons and leaves me wanting more. Most women fall at my feet begging to get
in, but Kadence? No, this woman makes me want to do the begging. I’ve never

she reacts to me makes my dick hard and God help me, getting her riled up is a
sight to see. I can see it in her eyes; she’s fighting it. She wants me and I intend
to give the lady what she wants.
“What do you want, Phoenix?” she demands,
uncrossing her arms and assuming a relaxed position, but I’m not stupid. The
woman is crazy mad and I’ve got a throbbing dick to prove it.
“What do I want?” I repeat her question,
pausing to take another pull on my beer. “Well, after your little stunt in the
bathroom, I wanna pull you down on this table and spank your ass,” I tell her
calmly. Even though my balls are aching, my cock is pulsing.
“You disgust me,” she hisses and turns to
walk away. I grab onto her hand, turning her my way. She tries to pull out of
my grasp, but my hold on her is strong.
“You don't mean that. I've seen the way your eyes flash. You would love for me to spank that sexy ass right here for everyone to see. Wouldn't you?” Embarrassment floods her cheeks, and for a beat, I think I might have pushed her too far.
