LORI REVIEWS BULLSEYE.....BY MONICA JAMES

I am amazed at the talent of Monica James. She went from writing a spiritual, almost ethereal novel in Chase The Butterflies, to the dark, raw story she tells in Bullseye. Both stories had my jaw dropping. Clearly in different ways.

I was sucked in from the start of Bullseye and I couldn’t stop reading. If you’re looking for an insta love story this isn’t it. It’s unique, it’s relentless and you won’t be able to put it down. Bullseye starts in a dark place and just keeps getting darker.

Bull has been damaged by a tragic event that happened when he was fifteen years old. He’s spent most of his years after that tragedy planning revenge on the people that caused him such pain. His only goal from the beginning is vengeance.

Bull makes no apologies for who he is. He’s not the knight in shining armor, he’s no ones savior. In his head he’s the bag guy with zero redeeming qualities.

Until he meets Tiger Lily, and two other women that see more in Bull than he sees in himself. But remember, I told you it’s not an insta love story, it’s an electric crackling jolt of insta animal attraction.

Tiger Lily is a spitfire who aspires to be a dancer. She’s never had an easy life, but she did have someone who loved and took care of her until he left.

Bull makes it clear he has no feelings (like legitimately none at all) and he’s no ones White Night. Lily sees something good in Bull and the two of them become involved in each other’s lives. When they finally give in to their feelings it’s carnal and raw and hot af.

Lily makes Bull feel less dead inside. Just when you think things are looking good for Bull and Lily, the plot twists and you will not be able to believe your eyes when you see what comes next. It's a knock you off your feet kind of twist.

Bullseye ends with a jaw dropping cliff hanger. Needless to say I can’t wait to get my hands on the continuation of the drama that’s on its way.

Another 5 star read from Monica James. Her talent and her unique storytelling ability will keep you coming back for more.
