I can't lie, I was a little afraid to read Tempt My Heart, when I read about the possible ugly crying. But I read it, and I'm so glad I did. If I didn't read it I would have missed out on an amazing story, with a ton of sizzling hot sex.
Brittan McKenna, had everything, a good life, great friends and loving fiancé. One horrible day she loses it all. She spends eight years mourning the loss of her soul mate Cane Allen. She numbs herself with drugs and random sex, feeling like her heart died the day she lost Cane. Brittan was on a self destructive path, that ends up with her in rehab. In the span of those eight years Brittan became lead singer for the alternative band Beyond Redemption.
When she completes rehab, her record label sends Beyond Redemption back out on tour. The night of Brittan's comeback party, she spots Jordon Valentine on the dance floor (Ok, he really sees her first). Their first meeting is holy hell hot. Jordon doesn't realize the hot as hell woman he's steaming up the dance floor with is Brittan fucking McKenna, lead singer for Beyond Redemption. Brittan doesn't know her hottie on the dance floor will be on tour with her for the next six months. Brittan NEVER mixes business with pleasure. She lets Jordon know that no matter how off the chain hot their sex was, all Jordon was getting was that one night.
The only problem with that, Jordon and Brittan, have both gotten under each other's skin. Jordon's never felt this way about a woman and Brittan struggles with a mess of emotions because she swears to her best friend Roxie "We only get one soul mate."
Can Jordon break down Brittan's walls? Can Brittan allow herself to love again? Well, I'm not telling because I want you to read Tempt My Heart. I will tell you Brittan and Jordon's passion made my girly parts tingle. I'm pretty sure Jordon's earned a spot on my Best Book Boyfriends of 2014. Those fingers....mmmmmmm....I'd love to have him play my favorite song on me. Anyway, Jordon is a beautiful rock god. Dark hair, piercing blue eyes, fit body and of course tattoos. Their sex is off the charts, but does Jordon have what it takes to be with Brittan?
Yes, I cried while reading Tempt My Heart, I was glad I was only in my living room so no one could see me. I totally loved this story. The characters drew you right into the story. Jordon and Brittan are kick ass rock and rollers and you'll be cheering for them to be together. You feel all the emotion Brittan goes through during her struggle to feel again. You'll understand why she doesn't want to feel at all. Then of course there's that plot twist in the story that's definitely an "Oh shit" moment.
I have to give Tempt My Heart a solid five lip smack review. If you need a good cry one click it now. Then you can recover reading all the sweaty hot sex that will definitely make you feel all tingly.
EXCERPT
As tears begin to fall again, I laugh nervously, “Who are you and what did you do with the cocky asshole I met in Miami? He was easier to hate.”
A killer grin spreads across Jordon’s face, as his eyes twinkle in the lights above us. They are hypnotizing and causing me to fall deeper under his spell, “Ahh, so you admit my irresistible rock god looks and my magic fingers are winning you over?”
The thought of what those fingers have done to me sends a shiver of desire coursing through my body and stopping between my thighs, only to intensify.
He teasingly slides his fingers ever so slowly down my arm, causing goose bumps to blanket every inch of me.
Trying to act like he isn’t getting to me, I toss my head back and purse my lips, “I never said that…I just said I don’t hate you as much as I did a few weeks ago.”
Pinning me on my back, Jordon stares down at me with a glimmer of desire in his eyes that takes my breath away. His lips curl up into a cocky grin, “Oh, baby. There’s no denying it, you like me. I can see it in those gorgeous brown eyes of yours.” Leaning down he presses a soft kiss to the tip of my nose causing me to suck in a sharp breath of air. Pulling back he watches me, as he waits for me to try and deny it some more.
He gets a rise out of our back and forth bantering, but I’m going to surprise him by admitting what he already knows to be true. He deserves a little ego boost after the fantastic day he’s given me.
“Okay…maybe a little.” I say breathlessly, as my chest rises and falls at a rapid pace. I melt under Jordon’s intense gaze.
“Holy shit! She finally admits it! She likes me!” Jordon shouts, shooting up and raising his hands in the air.
