LA REVIEWS FALLEN HEIR...BY ERIN WATT

Yes, it's official! I have once again been ruined by the Royals! Who knew that beneath that sexy, charming, I just want to get laid and have a good time personality, Easton Royal has much deeper emotions than you could ever guess?

Fallen Heir is Easton's story and let me tell you, it gives us a whole new side of Easton and a lot of clues that will have you saying hmmmmmmm.

But let's talk about Easton. He's super hot, super rich and you'll find out in Fallen Heir surprisingly sweet. Even though he's kind of cocky, he really is the whole package. Bonus, he's about to start his senior year which of course according to Easton, will be one non-stop party.

His year starts off with a literal bang, (Just ask Ms. Mann his math teacher). and good natured Easton expects it to just keep getting better from there. Only some people, like his dad, are expecting him to start growing up and he is not about that.

I need to pause for a minute and just give a shout out to Erin Watt, because Easton Royal reads exactly like an ADHD kid and I just loved that. I know it seems weird but, it explains so much about Easton and added a whole other dimension to his personality.  His impulsiveness, his addictive personality, it's all just, wow. So I'm not sure which if either of this writing team has ADHD, but kudos because the writing for Easton's character is so on point.

Okay, now back to Easton's story. After class with Ms. Mann, Easton runs into a new student, someone he's never seen before at Astor. Within seconds of meeting, Easton decides new girl is definitely not his type, too plain, not a good enough body and seemingly not one of those super easy girls that tend to gravitate his way. Hartley Wright is the exact opposite. She's definitely not charmed by Easton, or the Royal name at all. Of course this makes her way more interesting to Easton and begins his hardcore press to make Hartley want him.

So you might be thinking Fallen Heir is just going to be one big senior year party. You couldn't be more wrong. This book has some serious stuff going on. Hartley's story is truly heart breaking and just like Easton, you'll want to reach out and help her. But sometimes, even the best intentions come with tragic consequences.

It's not all sunshine and rainbows for Easton either. He fights with Ella, he fights with his dad and for the first time ever, begins to have doubts in himself. I almost forgot the ex that wants him back and a crazy girl who wants to pretend to date him. Again you'll just want to reach out to Easton and fix everything for him.

Just like the first three Royal stories, there are secrets to be found out and mysteries to solve. I don't know how I'll be able to wait for the next book because damn, there's so many questions that need answering. I feel like I'm rambling, but this book is so good and I want to tell you so much more. But I can't! If you've been living in a cave and haven't read any of this amazing series yet, omg go and one click them ALL now. If you've been waiting for Fallen Heir, start reading because this storyline is amazing!

If you're wondering, all the Royal boys make appearances in Fallen Heir (not enough Reed for me), but they pop up throughout the story. I'm going to share with you, those twins have piqued my interest. There is some story going on with them and I'm hoping to get me a Sawyer and Sebastian book soon. They're so young, but so naughty. I feel guilty having the feels for them I do since I have kids older than those boys. I blame it on the Royal charm.

If you're looking for a five star read, look no further. Fallen Heir is a fantastic read!

LA REVIEWS THE SCARS BETWEEN US...BY M.K. SCHILLER

She is the girl who lost everything.

I am the boy who never had anything.

It isn't often I read a book that makes me want to be a better person. MK Schiller's The Scars Between Us is one of those rare books that made me want to do just that.

Emma Cooper had every reason to be bitter and dark, but she wasn't. She found the good in everyone and every situation. She was light to other's darkness. Her kindness and compassion were truly beautiful. She may be one of my favorite book girls ever.

If Emma makes me want to be a better person, Aiden Sheffield makes me want to be very naughty. A former marine, who now makes a living rescuing abused dogs and fighting in Vegas. He is the kind of guy that women and men stop and stare at. Beautiful blue eyes, against dark hair and the body of a god, I am currently obsessed with him. Unfortunately, his personality does not match his physical beauty. The fighting may relieve some of his aggression, but it doesn't help the darkness in his soul.

I love this story because it is different from anything else I've read this summer. The story is gripping and never quite what you think it is. There are surprises and plot twists and it's just so good I couldn't put it down. I had to know what was going to happen.

The story begins with Emma and her mom going on a road trip. Mom wants Emma to carry out a task for her and for some reason it involves Aiden. When Emma meets Aiden he wants nothing to do with her. No explanation why, no reason, he just wants her gone and out of his life.

But in a story where everyone's keeping secrets, things rarely go as planned, Aiden winds up taking the trip to Linx, Texas with Emma. Linx, Texas, a place so horrible, Aiden swore he'd never go back.

Before they go to Linx, Aiden and Emma take a sort of road trip. They stop at several places and somewhere along the road they start to develop feelings for one another. Feelings that they try very hard not to act on, since Emma has a boyfriend in California.

As Aiden and Emma are on this road trip more about their backgrounds is revealed and the way their lives are intertwined will blow your mind! M.K. Schiller did a fantastic job weaving this story. I loved it from begin to end!

If you're wondering if there was any romance in The Scars Between Us, YES THERE WAS!! And it was amazing. Aiden Sheffield had me swooning like a school girl with just one kiss.

Five swooning stars for Aiden and The Scars Between Us. If you haven't one clicked it yet, do it now!!  Oh and if we could just get a frontal view of the cover model that would be great. Because from the side, he is one of the most beautiful creatures I've ever seen!!

EMILY'S REVIEW DRUNK DIAL...BY PENELOPE WARD

OMG!! I just finished this late last night, and I am in LOVE!!!  Landon Roderick is a seriously hot, tattooed, totally chill dude and yet totally alpha when it counts.  After receiving a drunk dial call from his childhood friend, he's totally open to talking and catching up with her... I love it!!!

Rana Saloomi. Yeah, I know, that name is too funny... And it totally fits her. Beautiful Rana Banana, as Landon called his childhood friend is a belly dancer, yet totally insecure and totally funny!!  How can someone who belly dances be insecure??  Trust me, Rana is sweet and vulnerable and so damn endearing. I totally want to hang with her!!

So, that drunk dial brought back a friendship between 2 kids and so much more. Living in Michigan and Cali Rana and Landon got to know each other again through flirty phone calls.  I loved how they had such a connection without having seen each other in so long, but both were keeping secrets... Secrets that were big. On both sides.

As the story unfolds and we begin to peel back the layers of Landon and Rana, their pasts clearly are getting in the way of their future, but only because they are keeping them hidden from each other!! Their relationship grows and develops so naturally, it was really beautiful.

Secrets are revealed, and then revealed again. Rana and Landon have to battle with their pasts and their own demons to keep their relationship together. I found these scenes especially endearing because they talked and thought about things but didn't run. Their maturity and behavior was very admirable!!

So many obstacles to overcome, so many secrets to be uncovered and so much love and sexiness.  I read this book in one sitting. There was no way I couldn't find out what they were keeping from each other and how they would get through this!!!  Not everything is always perfect, and life is tough and I swear they are better people because of this!!

So 5 honest lip smacks to Penelope Ward and Drunk Dial... Hey, maybe we should try it sometime, ya never know!!!

REVIEW WITH LA....ENRAGE BY RACHEL VAN DYKEN

Holy Organized Crime Batman! I have one word (okay, many words) for Rachel Van Dyken's Enrage, the latest book in the Eagle Elite series, and it's BRILLIANT!!!

Rachel literally hit the ball out of the park with Enrage. I don't know how she does it, but every book in this series just keeps getting better! There are series that after a few books you're kind of meh. NOT. THIS. SERIES! I couldn't wait to get my hands on Enrage

Before Enrage was released, I did some rereads of the other books in the series. I love them even more now than I did when they were brand new to me. Then I started Enrage and Rachel had me captivated and unable to put this book down. The storyline is fantastic, the details are perfection and the plot twist is unbelievable. This is one of those series that could go on forever. I would buy every single book and not care one drop about the price!

Enrage is the story of Dante Alfero and El Petrov. I know the Italians and the Russians right? It starts out the way you think, Italians and Russians against each other. The goal in this book is to make sure Dante accepts his spot in the family as the head of the Alfero family. Trace's grandpa is getting older and he's trying to right a huge wrong he created back in the day.

These five mob bosses are young and hot and bring fear into the hearts of those who would go up against them. I love that all the characters play a big part in all of the stories and Enrage is no different. From the guys "training" Dante, to family dinners, I can't get enough of them.

I've been reading this series from the start and of course I've fallen in love many times during the course of the stories. I was a Nixon girl for a minute, until I met Chase. Chase has been my favorite forever. He's hot. He's funny and loyal to a fault. And then I met Dante. Big, built, gorgeous, blue eyed, black haired Dante. At first I didn't think I'd like Dante. He's got so much anger and at the start of Enrage. He's cruel to El and says the most horrible things to her.

As they get to know each other, of course feelings start to change. When this couple acts on their attraction...the hotness factor goes from hot to blistering. With one kiss, Dante turned me into a melted puddle of goo. His physical description alone is enough to set any girl on fire. But Dante's kiss? Mama Mia! I couldn't breathe! El is definitely not the girl Dante thought she was. And Dante? He is everything you could possibly imagine and more. He seriously gives Chase a run for the money in hotness. Dante just exudes a sexiness that once again makes me wish fictional characters could be real.

If you've been reading the series expect all your favorite characters to be involved in family drama, witness the crowning of a new family head and deception so painful it hurts. Yes, I cried. I cried a lot.

Even with that being said, I loved Enrage and this entire series. Rachel writes a story that flows perfectly, you can't put down and has the incredible ability to make you fall completely in love with, um, murdering mob bosses. It's ok when it's for honor. I promise.

Five shooting (get it?) stars for Enrage and my favorite mob family ever!
