Cayson was always a trouble maker. Definitely the black sheep of the very desirable Dixon brothers. Even if he is the black sheep the women in the town of Amber still want him the second he gets back into town, well except the one he really wants. You guessed it! Emberly Olsen.
So easy right? They've secretly had feelings for each other since high school, Cayson comes home and they get together right? Wrong. You would think once the realize they feel the same way about each other, they'd be free to finally get together and live happily ever after.
That's so not the way it goes. There are so many secrets and insecurities between them, I was afraid these two wouldn't get a happily every after.
Let's talk about how much I love Cayson Dixon. Beside the fact that he's gorgeous and every woman in town is trying to get her hands on him, he grabbed a hold a piece of my heart and wouldn't let it go (kind of like the way Emberly feels about him). He's so tortured, but inside he's so good and I spent the book just wanting to hold him (okay, more than hold him)and make him better.
Don't let her free spirited ways fool you, Emberly has a lot of drama going on in that pretty little head of hers and only Cayson holds the key to untangling the drama.
In Whiskey, Molly puts together this story that full of angst and pain all because of the secrets that one family holds. You know when you're reading and your heart gets that squeezy feeling? You just want to fix everyone, but you know you can't, so you keep reading and praying the author gets it right? That's what happens in this book.
Amber is not your average small town and Whiskey is full of small town goodness. Of course all the Dixon brothers and their women are involved and the cast of characters from town are in Cayson and Emberly's business and let's just say, not everyone wants them together the way I do.
Let's not forget the sexy parts because, I told you Cayson Dixon has my heart and his passion for Emberly is one of the reasons for that. They are dynamite together. And you know what will make you crazy? Even though they're sooooooo good together, you can't be sure they'll wind up together.
Want to know how to figure out if Cayson and Emberly can hold on to each other? Read Whiskey. It's such an awesome story and Molly McAdams is one of my favorite storytellers ever invented.
Hurry, read Whiskey because Hunter Dixon's book is coming out soon and I have a feeling his story will ruin me. Oh, if you haven't already done it, read Fix too. That's the book that starts this terrific series by Molly.
Five drunken stars for Whiskey from me!
