I don't know about anyone else, but Evan Pearson would have had me at that text. But then the story would end and there wouldn't get all of the other hot, sexy, angsty stuff that came after that.
Kylie Sanders has been given a raw deal. Pregnant and married at 19, she wakes up one morning to find her husband Brad gone. He left behind only a note telling her that she and their 5 month old baby Emma were better off without him. An entire year goes by and all Kylie gets are the same types of postcards with Brad telling her the same thing. She and Emma are better off without him (personally, I think their deff better off without him).
So Kylie, now 20 years old needs to support her baby. A high school drop out, with no real skills, she turns to stripping. She hates it. It makes her feel dirty and skanky, but she does it for Emma.
Enter Evan Pearson, Gorgeous, sexy, wealthy business man who sees Kylie dance one night and becomes enamored with her. That very night, he buys a private dance with Kylie. He's absolutely ready to take it farther than just a lap dance. And he does say some very steamy, naughty things to her. Only Kylie feeling things she hasn't felt for over a year freaks out a little and bolts.
Evan has had a taste of the lovely Kylie and he wants more. Ok, truth, I adore love at first sight stories and this is one of them. I love automatic chemistry. I love when two people change each other from the second they lay eyes on each other. That's what happened with Evan and Kylie. Only life's not quite that easy and Evan and Kylie really have to fight for each other.
This should be couple have so many obstacles to battle, you wonder if they'll be able to make it work. Evan and Kylie come from two different worlds and while none of that matters to Evan, his family not so much. They're basically appalled their son is dating a stripper. His parents have picked out his future wife for him and can't understand why Evan doesn't agree with their choice. Kylie is incredibly insecure about her background and the effect it could have on Evan and his very upperclass family. Then of course the fact that Kylie has a husband, no matter how much of a jackass he is, is generally frowned upon. Not to mention, Brad, the husband is not very willing to let Kylie go. Their doubts and insecurities could ruin them before they even get started.
I love when I can get right into a story and I definitely did with Stripped. I didn't want to put it down because I had to know what happened. I love Kylie and Evan. They're so passionate together even when they're just kissing. Their chemistry is off the chain hot. I also really liked Sarah, Kylie's good friend (Ooooo, idea....a story for Sarah? Just saying). And of course baby Emma is just darling.
There is a plot twist at the end that I absolutely loved. I think you will too. But of course you have to read Stripped to find out all the details, because I can't tell you here, that wouldn't be fair.
With that being said, I'm giving Stripped a five lip smack review. I loved the story and the way C.A. Harms told it. So you should go and one click it now, because, it's just that good. OMG and watch the trailer....it gave me chill bumps!!
