LA REVIEWS AN ACT OF COURAGE...BY KC LYNN

"Five years ago I didn't think it was fair to ask you to wait for me. Well, I'm going to be selfish and ask you to do just that. I'm praying I didn't fuck things up beyond repair. Because I'm coming back for you, and once I do, I'm never letting you go. I need you because you're my anchor. My light. My salvation in the night. My angel. My peace. The best part of me. I love you. Please, wait for me."

I haven't started a review with a quote in a long time. Not because I haven't seen any, but because none have any touched me in quite the way this one has. As I typed in my classroom after school, I kept tearing up. There are books you read that are good. There are books that you love. And sometimes there are books that consume you. An Act Of Courage will forever be one of those books for me. It is a book that I couldn't put down. It is a book that touched my heart in a way very few books do.

You may be aware that I at times read books and series out of order. Example, I started this series before I read the Men of Honor series. Several of my book friends told me I was crazy and I needed to read Jaxson, Sawyer and Cade's story. So, to be ready for An Act Of Courage, I made sure I read the series. And yes, I fell absolutely in love with all three of those men. But Cade's is the story who touched me the most.

In Cade and Faith's story is where we first meet Christopher and his little sister Ruthie. Their lives have not been easy and Faith is the best thing to happen to them. We also know that this is when Christopher and Alissa first begin their relationship.

From the very start of An Act Of Courage you can see how much Christopher and Alissa love each other. Their plan was for the two of them to go to college together. Unfortunately, Alissa's disgustingly pretentious mother throws a wrench into their plans. Alissa goes off to college and Christopher becomes a Navy Seal.

When Christopher comes back home after being a Navy Seal for five years he's different. He's lost and there's a look in his eyes that tell you he's seen some terrible things. Sadly, he doesn't share his pain with anyone. Not Faith, not Ruthie and not Cade.

Before he goes down a completely self destructive path, Faith intervenes and sets Christopher up with a class at her music school. When the students name him Mr. Grouchy, you kind of know he's got a lot to work on.

The reunion of Christopher and Alissa is definitely not what you'd expect or hope for. That being said, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand that their love has never died and they are two people who should be together.

Christopher Walker is a book boyfriend that will always stay in my heart. I loved him from Resisting Temptation when he didn't believe in himself and only Faith, Ruthie and Alissa saw how special he was. I was proud of the young man he became. His love, his loyalty, his honor, everything he did was done with passion.

I adore Alissa. She always believed in Christopher and loved him with her whole heart. She was ready to forgive him for anything and promised to love him no matter what.

I was so emotional while I read this book. I had that squeezing feeling in my chest the whole time. KC Lynn writes so beautifully. Her stories are unique, her characters come to life through her words. Let's not forget how very sexy those Men of Honor are.

KC,  An Act Of Courage is a book that has forever touched my heart. A huge five honorable stars for Christopher, Alissa and the Men of Honor.

LA REVIEWS BLACKBIRD...BY MOLLY MCADAMS

If you follow this blog even a little bit, you no doubt know of my absolute devotion to Molly McAdams. Even though she crushed my soul in Taking Chances and Stealing Harper, I adore her.

Blackbird, Molly's newest creation is a departure from anything you might expect. It's darker and more mysterious. It's different from anything I've read in quite a while and I loved it.

Briar Chapman has it all. She's smart and beautiful. She's marrying the man she loves in just a few weeks. But even though she has every reason to be happy, you have a feeling that everything may not be a rosy as it seems.

In a case of mistaken identity and for lack of a better word, Briar becomes the property of one Lucas Holt. Lucas Holt is dark and brooding and has lots and lots of secrets. He is also gorgeous with dark piercing eyes and dark hair that he constantly runs his hands through.

I never thought I would be able to love someone as dark as Lucas. I have definitely liked dark characters, but no one who stirred the emotion in me that he did. You can see the way he struggles with his darkness throughout the story. Lucas doesn't even try to pretend. He straight up tells Briar that he's a bad man.

The circumstances of the way Briar and Lucas come to be together are heartbreaking. I'm trying so hard not to say too much, because Blackbird is a book you need to go into knowing very little. I can't lie, some of it is hard to fathom, but I was spellbound by this story of light and dark.

As the story evolves you see the change in both characters. The best way to get me to love a book is to make me fall in love with the characters. And yes, I loved Briar and believe or not I fell in love with her devil. The dynamic between the two characters changes as the novel goes on and I'll give you one clue. It becomes sinfully sexy.

With Lucas and Briar's changing relationship comes a danger that you may expect, but will also still shock you. An ending that will blow you away and a lesson that even the darkest souls can find the light.

Blackbird is essentially a tale of love and redemption that will keep you turning page after page.

Molly McAdams Blackbird is a story I will keep with me forever. It proves that even in the darkest souls there can be light and love. Five swooning stars for Blackbird and a book boyfriend I would never expect to fall in love with.

LA REVIEWS WHAT I NEED.....BY J. DANIELS

Ladies, we've been waiting for CJ and Riley's story for a while now. We've been impatiently waiting for our next Bama Boy and he's finally here!

I can tell you right now IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH THE WAIT! J. Daniels has crafted a story that is sweet, sexy and has a whole lot of that Tully charm. So much charm, that I felt like I was cheating on Ben Kelly for the whole book.

CJ Tully is absolutely delicious. Tall, built, a face that's irresistibly gorgeous and that sweet southern charm make CJ a very desirable book boyfriend. One I've been replaying sexy scenes with in my head all week long.

In case you don't know, CJ is on the Ruxton Police Department with Ben and Luke. And of course Reed Tennyson (who happens to be Riley's big brother) round out this friendship. The boys have been friends for ages and it helps out that their girls are friends too.

What I Need starts out at Reed and Beth's rehearsal dinner. You probably remember, CJ had a thing for Beth for a while, but Reed shut that right down. I wasn't exactly crazy about CJ back then, but now CJ Tully is exactly what I need!

Arriving late for the rehearsal is a newly single Riley Tennyson. Even though she's very upset over the fight and breakup with her long term boyfriend, she can't help but notice how insanely attractive CJ is. When she finds out he's her partner in the wedding things get even better.

So what do you do when you're at your big brother's wedding without your plus one? You drink tequila. Lots of tequila. CJ always the good guy tries to get Riley to stop drinking tequila. Have I forgotten to mention the intense attraction these two have for each other from the very start?

That attraction leads to a very steamy wedding weekend with the CJ and Riley sneaking into each others rooms to get to know each other better. These two get to know each other intimately in a very short amount of time. Just playing the sound of CJ's voice in my head with that sexy southern drawl melted my insides. And every time he called Riley darlin', I almost spontaneously combusted.

Unfortunately, when the wedding ends and everyone goes home, Riley totally friend zones CJ. I was so disappointed and even though CJ agrees to being friends, he was more than disappointed. All of a sudden Riley starts to pop up everywhere. They've lived in the same town forever and never ran into each other. Now Riley is everywhere.

CJ decides he'd rather have Riley as a friend than not have her at all. So friendship it is. I love the way their friendship plays out. They have fun together. They laugh together and of course they tell secrets together. They're sweet and funny and yes even as friends still very sexy.

Do you think Riley can keep CJ in the friend zone? I'm not sure if I could. CJ is everything a girl could want and more.

The Alabama Summer series is one of my favorite book series ever. I have read them more than once. Ben and Mia's story, more than that. And while Ben will always be my number one Bama Boy, CJ is a VERY close second.

J. Daniels creates characters that you want to know. You wish you could be part of their friend group. I know I do. You feel the love they have for each other and how protective of each other they are.

What I Need is a book that will make you smile, swoon, and maybe even cry a little bit. You won't want it to end. I think CJ and Riley's story has become my second favorite in the Alabama Boys Series. Even though I cheated with CJ Ben, you're still my number one.

Five sexy, southern charm filled stars for CJ and What I Need!

I'll tell you a secret CJ. I really, really like you.

EMILY REVIEWS PRESTON'S HONOR...BY MIA SHERIDAN

I'm not even sure where to start describing how seriously amazing Preston's Honor is!!! I am a HUGE Mia Sheridan fan and all of her books are one clicks for me.  Preston's Honor is currently fighting for the top spot of her books!!

This story is about an epic love that never waivers.  There is also so much more within the pages than that... You'll find so many of life's true lessons within these pages without being preached to.

It's  about the importance of self worth, the value of knowing your heritage, the honor of a legacy.  Preston's Honor is about forgiveness and love and strength.

Preston and Cole are twins that were raised in a wealthy family who run a farm.  While Preston is the dutiful, honorable son, Cole is the fun loving adventurous brother.  Both lovable and admirable.

Lia is the poor daughter of a bitter angry Mexican immigrant. She has not known or received love from her mom and she has absolutely nothing of material value, but she has the love friendship of the two brothers.

Preston and Lia have always had love for one another, but circumstances and honor have kept them apart.  One night of beauty, which then turns into a day filled with tragedy and their lives are changed forever.

Without giving too much away I will say that the pages that follow brought me lots of tears, lots of cursing and maybe I even threw my kindle across the room... But have no fear and keep reading!!!

Preston's Honor is not only one of my favorite Mia Sheridan books, but will always be one of my favorite books period.  The pages were filled with so much hope and beauty and love.  They were honest and harsh but so loving. I was lost in this book and I still feel like I'm lost somewhere in the pages. Forgiveness, tolerance, and love are the underlying factor that fuels every page of this deeply moving and poignant story.

This book is buried deep within my bones and I give it 10 lip smacks!!!... Mia Sheridan, you are truly a talented writer and I thank you for another beautiful and life changing story!!  I, will always remember to make a fuss!  ❤

LA REVIEWS PUCKED OFF...BY HELENA HUNTING

If there's one thing we know about Lance Romero from the beginning of the Pucked Series, is that the  ladies love him and Lance Romance loves them right back. Admittedly he has the worst reputation of his teammates and for the most part he owns that reputation and maybe even deserves it a little.

I have to admit now as much as I am all about Alex Waters, Lance Romero has definitely found a place in my heart. I mean the cover model by himself for Pucked Off  is a complete fantasy. I don't think I've ever seen a cover model that completely embodies their character until Lance. Then you add Helena's story, which I couldn't put down and you have a book boyfriend that melted my  heart with each turn of the page.

Lance's story is much more complicated than the other members of his team. His past is dark and he carries around that darkness inside of him. At first, I thought Tash was definitely the girl for him and I figured Helena would write Lance's story in that direction. I couldn't have been more wrong and I'm so glad I was because it just made me love Lance Romero even more.

Lance Romero is gorgeous, quite possibly the hottest player on his team. His body is beyond perfect. With darkish red hair and light green eyes he gets even better. Add that sexy Scottish accent that comes out at times and he is the total package. Who knew he would make such an amazing book boyfriend?

I love Helena's writing and am in awe of how she put this story together. I think it may be my favorite in the series so far. But considering I love the whole series, that just means it gets better and better.

After a run in with Tash, (that absolutely floored me) you know this isn't going to be the typical light hearted read you're used to in the Pucked Series.

Lance, unhinged from his meeting with Tash, goes and finds some trouble. At practice the next morning his coach insists he goes to massage therapy if he wants to play in an upcoming game. Lance's reaction is strange, but he agrees to the massage.

Enter Poppy O'Connor (you might remember her, I didn't), stunningly beautiful, with a personality and heart to match and that's when the story really starts. For the first time in his life, he doesn't mind being touched. Their chemistry is steamy from the very start.

It seems Poppy and Lance have some history. Quite a bit of history. Which you will find out about as you get into the story. It's sweet and real and it made me love Lance more than I thought was possible.

Before I forget, Lance Romero is every bit the sex god in bed that the bunnies say he is. If I could sum him up in a word, it would be giver. He's like the energizer bunny. He keeps on giving. Poppy is one lucky girl.

Of course, nothing good comes easy, so Lance and Poppy have some bumps in the road. I can't explain enough how many feelings I have for Lance because this book. But that's what a great writer does, right?

It's not all deep and angsty. The whole cast of characters are there throughout the whole story. Giving Lance advice and trying to smooth over the bumps. And don't worry Violet's there and she is as unfiltered as ever!

An awesome story, an amazing book boyfriend! Five slap shot stars for Helena Hunting and Pucked Off!

And Lance, I will always have gummy bears for you <3 p="">

LA REVIEWS KEEPING HER WET.....BY M. ROBINSON

Husbands across America owe a debt of gratitude to M. Robinson. Today is the release date of M's novella, Keeping Her Wet. I may have gotten through two chapters before I was yelling downstairs for my husband!

M has put together ten insanely steamy stories with the couples from all of her series. And let me just tell you, M's men know how to satisfy their women!

Every page gets hotter and hotter, with your favorite alpha men and their naughty mouths. Don't let me forget the hotness factor of ALL of the men in Keeping Her Wet.

I have read the entire Good Ol' Boys Series and both spin off books. So I am very well acquainted with all of those men. And each one is sexier than the other. But the Good Ol' Boy who has my heart is Lucas Ryder. Maybe because he's the first one I met. Maybe because Lucas and Alex's story while so heartbreaking was the most beautiful (at least to me). So their chapter in Keeping Her Wet was the one I started with. I love how caveman Lucas can be. The way he always takes Alex is so damn sexy.

I guess I just have a thing for anything connected to Lucas, because holy hell, Creed and Mia's chapter is absolutely smoking hot. Creed has the dirtiest mouth and it is a huge turn on. Mia is a lucky girl. I have to mention though I think she's going to have a tough choice between Creed and Noah. I think both brothers are going to bring it and I'm thinking maybe plot twist, but you never can tell which direction M will go in.

I'm going to tell you right now the title of this novella is very fitting. I would suggest not reading it out in public because...well just one click it ASAP and you'll find out.

I generally shy away from novellas, but Monica Robinson wrote this one and I had to own it. I enjoyed it, because it wasn't just a shorter version of a story. I loved that is was separate stories about characters I had already become invested in.

Meeting the characters from M's other novels, definitely made me want to get to know them better so of course those books have been added to my TBR.

If you're looking for a quick super sexy read, I suggest you one click Keeping Her Wet. I'm sure you'll enjoy every single bit of it. And for .99 cents how could you possibly go wrong?

Five super slippery stars for Monica Robinson and Keeping Her Wet.

LA REVIEWS PREPPY PART 2...BY T.M. FRAZIER

Before I say anything else, let me get this out of my system...HOLY, FUCKING, SHIT!!! What a wild ride T.M. takes us on in the second part of Preppy's story.

I absolutely love T.M. Frazier. The King Series is one of my favorite book series. It's a go to reread for me. I have  been fortunate enough to meet T.M. and she is a sweetheart. If you've seen her in person, you know she is gorgeous. She's also a genuinely nice person and doesn't mind when you ridiculously fangirl over her. Then you read her books and you think to yourself, how can this totally lovely person write such dark and twisted books?

But I digress. Of course as soon as Preppy Part 2 appeared on my Kindle I had to start reading. Then I decided, you can never have enough Preppy in your life, so I had to do a reread of Part 1. The time line was reset up in my brain and I was ready to dive into Part 2.

Preppy Part 2 picks up just where the first part leaves off. Dre, is at Preppy's bedside, we've just heard him tell everyone that Dre is his wife. Then after a bit of the lull, Preppy springs up from his bed and tries to strangle Dre.

Then the story really begins. If you don't know where Preppy's been, stop reading now. One click the entire series and just start from the very beginning. So we know Preppy has been held captive by Chop and tortured in the worst ways. He's been comatose for a while and King and Bear aren't sure if he's out of the woods yet.

Since Dre was pre Ray and Thia, they are both suspicious of her intentions. Preppy is in a bad way and everyone is very protective of him. Dre is back in Logan's Beach. After Preppy sent her on her way in part one, Dre went to rehab and got her life back together.  She's just back in Logan's Beach to settle up some issues with her grandma's house and closure on a horrible chapter of her life. Then she plans to go back home. After all, there's nothing for her in Logan's Beach any more. Until she finds out PREPPY IS ALIVE!

The story is so gripping I honestly could not put it down. You see a whole other side of Preppy that you didn't think existed. In King when you met Preppy he was funny and cute, but you knew he had a dark side. Preppy's dark side is beyond anything you could imagine. What he went through as a child, then when he was held captive, would be enough to break even the strongest of men, but not Preppy.

Freedom is something Preppy struggles with. The torture he endured has taken a toll on him physically and mentally. He's not the same Preppy you remember. He's broken. Everyone tries to help him, but this is something Preppy has to fix himself. And when he fixes himself, he is delicious.

The relationship between Dre and Preppy is strained. They're married and yes they actually are. You'll find out. Clearly, they separated on terrible terms. Then Dre got the letter and that letter changed everything. It's one of the reasons she finds her way back to Logan's Beach.

I don't want to say anymore about the story line, because you should definitely be one clicking this one. Everything about Preppy Part 2 is totally on point. The story alone is amazing, but T.M. Frazier has the ability to make you become invested in every character she creates. There's humor, there's friendship, there's love and a whole lot of twisted, jaw dropping in this book. Be sure you have time to read it, because you won't want to put it down!

Five hugely twisted stars for T.M. Frazier and Preppy Part 2.

PS King is mine..,just sayin'
