Yes, it's official! I have once again been ruined by the Royals! Who knew that beneath that sexy, charming, I just want to get laid and have a good time personality, Easton Royal has much deeper emotions than you could ever guess?
Fallen Heir is Easton's story and let me tell you, it gives us a whole new side of Easton and a lot of clues that will have you saying hmmmmmmm.
But let's talk about Easton. He's super hot, super rich and you'll find out in Fallen Heir surprisingly sweet. Even though he's kind of cocky, he really is the whole package. Bonus, he's about to start his senior year which of course according to Easton, will be one non-stop party.
His year starts off with a literal bang, (Just ask Ms. Mann his math teacher). and good natured Easton expects it to just keep getting better from there. Only some people, like his dad, are expecting him to start growing up and he is not about that.
I need to pause for a minute and just give a shout out to Erin Watt, because Easton Royal reads exactly like an ADHD kid and I just loved that. I know it seems weird but, it explains so much about Easton and added a whole other dimension to his personality. His impulsiveness, his addictive personality, it's all just, wow. So I'm not sure which if either of this writing team has ADHD, but kudos because the writing for Easton's character is so on point.
Okay, now back to Easton's story. After class with Ms. Mann, Easton runs into a new student, someone he's never seen before at Astor. Within seconds of meeting, Easton decides new girl is definitely not his type, too plain, not a good enough body and seemingly not one of those super easy girls that tend to gravitate his way. Hartley Wright is the exact opposite. She's definitely not charmed by Easton, or the Royal name at all. Of course this makes her way more interesting to Easton and begins his hardcore press to make Hartley want him.
So you might be thinking Fallen Heir is just going to be one big senior year party. You couldn't be more wrong. This book has some serious stuff going on. Hartley's story is truly heart breaking and just like Easton, you'll want to reach out and help her. But sometimes, even the best intentions come with tragic consequences.
It's not all sunshine and rainbows for Easton either. He fights with Ella, he fights with his dad and for the first time ever, begins to have doubts in himself. I almost forgot the ex that wants him back and a crazy girl who wants to pretend to date him. Again you'll just want to reach out to Easton and fix everything for him.
Just like the first three Royal stories, there are secrets to be found out and mysteries to solve. I don't know how I'll be able to wait for the next book because damn, there's so many questions that need answering. I feel like I'm rambling, but this book is so good and I want to tell you so much more. But I can't! If you've been living in a cave and haven't read any of this amazing series yet, omg go and one click them ALL now. If you've been waiting for Fallen Heir, start reading because this storyline is amazing!
If you're wondering, all the Royal boys make appearances in Fallen Heir (not enough Reed for me), but they pop up throughout the story. I'm going to share with you, those twins have piqued my interest. There is some story going on with them and I'm hoping to get me a Sawyer and Sebastian book soon. They're so young, but so naughty. I feel guilty having the feels for them I do since I have kids older than those boys. I blame it on the Royal charm.
If you're looking for a five star read, look no further. Fallen Heir is a fantastic read!
